4 years ago we built our first greenhouse, a little 8'x8', it was a dream come true! It helped us grow our garden and gave us a breath of life during the winter.

At the beginning of 2024, we had the chance to buy a MUCH bigger greenhouse. We found it on FB Marketplace and after a couple of phone calls with the owner, Betty, we made a plan. The only catch? We would have to dismantle it and move it here from Wisconsin. Jim is always up for an adventure, so we went for it! It was more time consuming than we anticipated, but thankfully Jim didn't give up and stayed 2 days extra by himself to finish tearing it down and drove the 26' Uhaul home with her.

Jim ended up taking an 8 week welding course at our local tech center, in order to DIY as much as possible. After lots of learning, sweat, frustration, excitement and let's be honest, money, we got her up and running in February!

It is a magical space and we're learning as we go and we're so excited to see what the future holds for Greenhouse Betty!
